As social media platforms are introduced, keep an eye out for their new features. For example, we were one of the earliest adopters of a new feature that LinkedIn introduced earlier this year, which allows you to invite connections to company pages.
With this approach, we gained thousands of followers in just a few days before LinkedIn removed this feature - temporarily or permanently to be determined.
Don't be complacent and assume you know all the ways to grow your audience and business through social media, as these platforms will continue to roll out new features that you need to be ready to use.

We use social media first for paid ad placements and sponsored content because the demographic targeting accuracy this provides allows us to directly target potential customers who have shown interest in a competitor's or our own complementary offerings.
However, we also spend a few hours a week using social media to support our brand marketing by socially interacting, joining groups, learning about trends, posting on pages, answering questions, and participating in potentially interesting discussions. The same goes for our target audience.
These are rarely directly related to our products and rarely used as opportunities for promotion and sales, as social media users don't respond to Latest Mailing Database hard selling when trying to socialize and find entertainment.
But by getting our brand noticed and making ourselves memorable as funny, useful or interesting, we can support our brand awareness and increase brand awareness, thereby building our organic social media audience.
